Pará will have the 1st orange juice factory

The installation of an orange juice factory in Capitão Poço (PA) is expected to generate around 100 direct jobs, in addition to another thousand spread across the region. The opening of the factory was made possible by the transfer of R$ 16.6 million from the Ministry of National Integration for the project. The funds will come from the Northern Constitutional Financing Fund (FNO), managed by the ministry.

The company Citropar will invest R$ 3.2 million in the project as a counterpart. In addition to orange juice, the factory will also produce lemon juice.

“The Northern Constitutional Fund is an important instrument to expand the supply of economic activities that generate jobs and income. Our role at the Ministry of Integration is to ensure that the Fund’s resources can reach those entrepreneurs who wish to invest easily and absolutely accessibly,” said Minister Helder Barbalho.Investments

The Ministry of National Integration has already invested R$ 3 million in a project aimed at horticulture in the Tapajós region, with the goal of encouraging technological advances in the Pará municipalities of Belterra, Mojuí dos Campos, and Santarém and increasing the profitability of rural properties.

The plan includes 400 families of small farmers who gained access to agricultural machinery and techniques that allow for the cloning of high genetic standard seedlings, cultivated in vitro. This year, the producers are expected to inaugurate a fruit pulp processing factory.

The initiative in the Tapajós region is part of the National Integration Routes program, created by the Ministry to develop productive chains throughout the country. The program is led by the Regional Development Secretariat.Source: Portal Brasil
