Linkin Park, Slayer, Prophets of Rage, Five Finger Death Punch, Ghost, Rob Zombie, Rise Against, and Red Fang are some of the confirmed attractions in the lineup for the second edition of the Maximus Festival 2017, which will once again be held in Interlagos on May 13, 2017, featuring three stages and a structure for entertainment, gastronomy, and fun.
São Paulo hosted the first edition of the Maximus Festival in September 2016, which was created with the purpose of becoming a reference for the new global rock scenes. The 25,000 fans present experienced the incredible opportunity to be at an internationally standard festival, with nearly 12 hours of music, 11 international bands, and four national bands alternating on the three stages, in addition to enjoying the entertainment, gastronomy, and fun options set up in an area of 200,000 square meters.
The 2017 festival will repeat the configuration of its first edition, with the Maximus and Rockatansky stages set up side by side, a structure that was completely approved by the audience. The Cashless payment system, which eliminated queues, will also return, providing greater comfort to consumers.
A major novelty in the 2017 edition will be the lineup of bands performing on the Thunderdome stage, which will be entirely dedicated to hardcore.
Following the tradition of major festivals like Wacken and Hellfest, Move Concerts and the 2,500 people who worked on organizing the first edition of the Maximus Festival are betting on the quality and slow, careful construction of the event to make it the “brother” of these powerful festivals in South America, being the best rock festival, but with Latin colors and flavors.
Linkin Park, considered one of the most important rock bands of the new millennium, and the iconic band Slayer are confirmed to perform on the Maximus stage, along with their fellow Americans: musician, filmmaker, screenwriter, and film producer Rob Zombie, and the heavy metal band from Portland, Red Fang.
The supergroup Prophets of Rage, formed by members of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, and Cypress Hill, is considered the most important band formed in 2016, and is confirmed as the headliner of the Rockatansky Stage.
The celebrated Five Finger Death Punch, which has been a regular presence at major rock festivals worldwide since the beginning of this decade and has been highly anticipated by Brazilians, will make its debut in Brazil just before Prophets of Rage on the same stage.
Papa Emeritus and the Ghouls, along with the Swedish heavy metal band Ghost, are also confirmed and will take the stage at Rockatansky.
Another American band, the celebrated Rise Against, one of the most prestigious punk rock/hardcore bands today, will be one of the main attractions on the Thunderdome stage, as well as the Californian punk rockers Pennywise. For more information visit www.maximusfestival.com.br
