The Strength of Brazilian Foods – The Brasilians

The Strength of Brazilian Foods

Brazil is an export powerhouse for foods that go far beyond primary products (commodities). It is capable of producing and delivering a variety of healthy, innovative delicacies, created in accordance with the best sustainability practices, that can be featured in high-end global gastronomy recipes. This was the menu presented by 34 Brazilian companies to buyers and potential foreign partners during the Summer Fancy Food Show, which took place in New York in June 2019.

The event was considered the largest and most important trade fair for gourmet foods and spices, regional, organic, and natural products in the U.S., gathering over 2,500 exhibitors from 54 countries and 47,000 qualified visitors (importers, distributors, restaurant representatives, and food service providers). With over 200,000 specialty food products on display, the Summer Fancy Food Show is considered a major showcase for launches in the American and global markets.

Among the highlights of typically Brazilian foods that the delegation presented at Fancy Food are açaí, tapioca, and nuts. The range of products also includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fruits, vegetables, cookies, pasta, breads, cakes, cereals, grains, spices, sweets, candies, confections, frozen products, natural and healthy foods, honey, propolis, chocolates, specialty coffees, frozen fruit pulps, panetones, traditional foods (feijoada, dried meat, cassava) vacuum-packed, and organic and sustainable condiments.
