Located in the South of Santa Catarina, Garopaba has some of the most beautiful beaches in the State. Ideal for surfing, the city’s beaches have hosted several international championships and attract many sports enthusiasts every year.
Garopaba is blessed with beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, and extensive coastlines, in addition to its preserved native forests, with ecological trails for all tastes and delightful waterfalls, making it an excellent choice for ecotourism.
But that’s not all. Adventurers have access to various activities, such as diving, sandboarding on the Siriú Dunes, fun boat rides, paragliding, and skydiving. Between June and November, it is possible to see the majestic southern right whales, which migrate to give birth and nurse their calves.
One of the most popular beaches in the region is Praia da Ferrugem, about 8 km from the center. There, you will find translucent waters and impressive waves, in

addition to charming natural pools and fine, light sand dunes. With several bars, the place is popular at night, especially during the high season.
Praia da Silveira is one of the most coveted by surfers and annually hosts national and international surfing championships. The landscape is wild, with huge rocky coastlines and low native vegetation.
15 km from the center, Praia da Gamboa also has good waves. It is frequented by fishermen who live nearby and by surf fans.
The closest beach is Garopaba, which has excellent infrastructure and a very calm sea. It is great for seaside walks, refreshing sunbathing, and hugs. It is generally frequented by families.
