Those who visit Rio Grande do Sul can also enjoy sunny days at the beach. The city of Torres boasts the most beautiful beaches in the state and has excellent tourist infrastructure. The city’s name was chosen because of the large rock formations along the shore, where you can go to appreciate the city’s landscape.
The beaches are the main attractions of Torres. Praia da Guarita, for example, is located in the José Lutzenberger State Park, better known as Parque da Guarita. Surrounded by huge mountains, it is great for surfers, as the sea is rough and has many waves. On the sand, the atmosphere is peaceful, with few kiosks and street vendors.
One place worth visiting is Morro do Farol, which offers a beautiful view of the beaches of Torres and, between August and November, becomes a great observation point to spot whales that appear in the region.
Praia Grande is an excellent choice for a family outing. The sea is calm, and many sports events and shows take place between December and February.
At Prainha, you will also enjoy a sense of tranquility. The landscape features a vast stretch of grass where families lay out their towels and take a delightful sunbath.
Praia do Cal is surrounded by vacation homes and has a great boardwalk for those who enjoy walking or running. It is very close to the center and has several bars, restaurants, and inns.
With about 2 km in length, Lagoa do Violão is located in the center and is frequently visited for water sports. It also hosts a large number of fish and small turtles.
Don’t miss out on enjoying the center, which, besides being very charming, has a cozy market.
