Capital Inicial is a post-punk/new wave band that achieved considerable success, recording seven albums between 1982 and 1996. The group enjoyed enormous success in the early and mid-2000s, becoming one of Brazil’s most popular bands with the albums Acústico MTV, Rosas e Vinho Tinto, Gigante and MTV Especial: Aborto Elétrico.
Current members include Dinho Ouro Preto — lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Fê Lemos — drums and percussion; Flávio Lemos — bass; and Yves Passarell — lead guitar.
They will perform in Florida, bringing many of their hits to the United States.
