BRAFF Miami is an official event of the cities of Miami and Miami Beach. The first edition of the Festival, 23 years ago, coincided with the resurgence of Brazilian cinema in the 90s. Since its inception, the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami has served as a showcase for training, reflection, promotion, cultural exchange, diversity, political and sectoral articulation, and artistic recognition. Additionally, BRAFF Miami provides a business environment with extraordinary economic potential for Brazilian audiovisual production.
The 23rd edition of the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami takes place from September 14 to 21 at the following locations:
• September 14:
TBC The Opening Night will feature a DJ and fashion show followed by the screening.
• September 15 to 17:
Miami Beach Cinematheque
Documentary Screening Series.
• September 19:
Florida International University University Series.
• September 18 to 21:
– Regal South Beach 18
Competitive Screenings – New releases from Brazil competing for the Crystal Lens award for best film chosen by the audience.
