The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice and Public Security of Brazil have released a document explaining how to apply for temporary visas and residence permits that the country will grant to Ukrainians and stateless persons for humanitarian reasons due to the armed conflict in Ukraine.
According to the text, the temporary visa is valid for 180 days.
Stateless immigrants must initiate, within 90 days after entering national territory, the process of recognition of stateless status at the Ministry of Justice through the SisApatridia system, available at www.gov.br.
The interministerial decree, valid until December 31, 2024, also specifies all the necessary documents to be presented to the consular authority, both for temporary visas and for residence permits.
