Brazilian Business USA connects Brazilian entrepreneurs in the USA – The Brasilians

Brazilian Business USA connects Brazilian entrepreneurs in the USA

Brazilian Business USA (BBU) is a platform created in 2016 with the aim of connecting Brazilians who are entrepreneurs in the USA. Founded by two Brazilian entrepreneurs, Verena Cordeiro and Ricardo Rosa, the platform focuses on encouraging creative entrepreneurship and innovative ideas. Thus, to make information more accessible to entrepreneurs who already have businesses in the USA or for those who have a project but have no idea where or how to start, BBU launched its official portal and its IG profile last year.

The creation of BBU arose after Verena and Ricardo faced many obstacles in opening their businesses in the USA. They identified that many of these situations were the same as those encountered by various other small business owners who, like them, were also seeking new opportunities in the largest consumer market in the world. Entering a competitive market like the American one can have its difficulties. One of them is the language; there are also differences in laws and taxes, and various other scenarios that differ from what is accustomed to in Brazil.

The portal provides news, exclusive columns from professionals specialized in the subject, an agenda of business events happening in the USA, and its own events such as those being prepared for 2019. The Instagram account has nearly 15k followers and features takeovers by Brazilian professionals who are achieving success in the USA. “We are completing two years of operation and did not know that the market response would be so positive. We started BBU with the launch of an event to engage the community. The initial idea was to hold an event for 150 people, but we had over 1,000 registrants, which led us to rethink and reposition the project. We want to expand our work more and more, with the sole objective of exchanging contacts and experiences, and networking to generate opportunities for small and medium enterprises,” concludes Verena.
