The e-consular service scheduling system is back online. The new address for scheduling is ec-miami.itamaraty.gov.br.
The system, developed by the Consulate General in Miami, was recently approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after a thorough security and robustness analysis. In addition to Miami, the e-consular system will be used by seven other major consular posts. Soon, the system will be available for the entire Brazilian consular network.
The e-consular system does not immediately offer available dates for scheduling. First, the Brazilian citizen must submit the necessary documentation for each service through the system (upload it). When the documentation is evaluated and validated, the schedule for service booking will be opened. The time for service validation varies according to the demand for requests.
Check the step-by-step guide:
• Log in to the e-consular system (ec-miami.itamaraty.gov.br) with your email.
• Check your email: a message from e-consular will be sent. Access the link in the email message to enter the system.
• Update your information. Create a password to access the system. Choose the service. An electronic form will open requesting the necessary information and documentation.
• Fill in the information and upload the necessary documentation as required in each field of the electronic form. Tip: It is easier to fill out and upload photos of the documents using a mobile phone.
• Confirm the accuracy of your data and submit for validation.
• Wait for the response from the Consulate General. The Consulate General team will send a validation message or request for additional information.
Attention: the validation message will not be immediate. Wait for communication from the Consulate General.
• If the electronic form is incomplete or incorrect, the Consulate General will send a message indicating what is missing. Repeat the steps and provide the requested information.
• If you receive a validation message, your request has been accepted. The message will contain a link to access the service schedule.
• Schedule your service on the desired date, or choose to send the documentation by mail, if the requested service allows it.
