Capital Inicial is a post-punk/new wave band that achieved considerable success, having recorded seven albums from 1982 to 1996. They were a huge success in the early to mid-2000s, being one of the most popular bands in Brazil with the albums Acústico MTV, Rosas e Vinho Tinto, Gigante, and MTV Especial: Aborto Elétrico.
Current members include Dinho Ouro Preto – lead vocals, rhythm guitar, Fê Lemos – drums, percussion, Flávio Lemos – bass, Yves Passarell – lead guitar.
They will be performing in Florida, bringing many of their hits to the USA.
