The United States announced on this Thursday (21) the removal of the 40% commercial tariffs applied to some Brazilian products, including meats, coffee, and other foods.
“Specifically, I have determined that certain agricultural products will not be subject to the additional ad valorem tax rate imposed by Executive Order 14323,” states the decision of US President Donald Trump.
“To the extent that the implementation of this order requires the refund of duties collected, the refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the standard procedures of US Customs and Border Protection for such refunds,” the document adds.
Lula says he is “happy” after Trump backs down on tariff hike
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated on this Thursday (20) that he is “happy” after US President Donald Trump announced the reduction of his tariff hike on some Brazilian products.
