Hotels and restaurants near Times Square are offering exclusive packages for New Year’s Eve celebrations with tickets ranging from $450 to $12,500. The tickets typically include access to food, drinks, and live entertainment, while some offer exclusive views of the famous Big Ball.
It’s worth noting that attending the world-famous event is free for those watching from the sidewalks.
But for those who want a bit more comfort and less cold, here are some places in Times Square that offer some of the most expensive ways to kick off 2024.
Olive Garden: $450
At Olive Garden, revelers can welcome 2024 at a slightly more modest price than some of the other restaurants and hotels in the area. Tickets cost $450 each, according to the event organizer’s website. The ticket includes a complimentary buffet, open bar, live entertainment, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. However, live viewing of the ball drop is not guaranteed, according to the event organizers.
Applebee’s: $799+
Those with more to spend can celebrate the New Year at one of two Applebee’s restaurants in Times Square. Tickets start at $799, according to the event organizer Ball Drop’s website.
The New Year’s Eve package from the chain includes a buffet with appetizers like steak and salmon, a house DJ, souvenirs, a champagne toast, and an open bar that runs from 7 PM to midnight. The ticket also includes a trip outside to view the ball drop.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co: $1,015
Bubba Gump is another restaurant chain that offers views of the ball at jaw-dropping prices.
The all-inclusive ticket costs $1,015, the company’s website shows. The ticket price includes live entertainment, souvenirs, a champagne toast, and a full buffet, along with appetizers.
Knickerbocker Hotel: up to $3,995
The Knickerbocker Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is hosting a fancy rooftop party just 50 meters from the Times Square ball. Tickets range from $1,995 to $3,995, depending on the package, the hotel’s website shows.
The Knickerbocker’s NYE Platinum Party package includes cocktails, a dance floor with a DJ, and a banquet dinner featuring caviar, seafood, and roasted meats. At the end of the night, attendees toast with glasses of Dom Pérignon champagne.
Marriott Marquis: up to $12,500
The Marriott Marquis hotel is offering New Year’s Eve celebrations costing between $1,350 and $12,500, depending on the package, according to Ball Drop.
The Prime VIP Couple package, which costs $12,500 for two people, guarantees seats near floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the Times Square ball. Other perks include a bottle of champagne, butler service, appetizers, and access to an open bar and buffet-style dinner.
