The beauty sector grew by 8.2% per year over the last decade and is among the top ten segments in Brazil. To give you an idea, last year, even with the financial crisis, the cosmetics market accelerated by 10.6% in the first quarter.
The beauty market generated R$100 billion in 2020 according to research conducted by the Brazilian Association of Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics Industry (ABUHPEC) and remains in
<br]highlight among the sectors that continue to be trends for this year.
Brands led by women, for example, strengthen the beauty industry in terms of diversity and social inclusion, which has generated positive revenue due to the demand for products that treat hair but also offer benefits for skin, nails, and assist the immune system.
The sector’s “boom” remains high and makes social media the great showcase for brands and also for those who want to venture into the beauty field. There are hundreds of thousands of videos, tutorials, and photos sharing experiences with companies, products, and even professionals in the area, who were affected by the pandemic but generate relevant content on social media and sell through home service or delivery, contributing positively to the sector.
