Venezuelan immigrants living on the streets and squares in Boa Vista (RR) will have access to a new shelter so they can live with more dignity and settle in Brazil.
With a capacity for 220 people, the dormitory was set up by the Government of Brazil in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). At the site, families will have access to food, medical care, and security.
In parallel, the Army is also working on improving the facilities of the Tancredo Neves shelter, while the Armed Forces are providing food for 1,250 Venezuelans per day. The forecast is to increase the number of meals and also be able to feed all Venezuelans as well.
