The election of businessman Donald Trump by the Republican Party does not “change anything” in the institutional relationship between Brazil and the United States of America. In an interview with Rádio Itatiaia, the President of the Republic, Michel Temer, emphasized that the bond is State to State.
“The relationship between Brazil and the United States is an institutional relationship, State to State,” said Temer, recalling that both countries have a democratic tradition. Trump defeated the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House.
