The book “Boy Brazil – Song of Admonition,” by Gilvan De Sergipe, a journalist and writer based in Florida for over 15 years, was launched by Editora Scortecci at the 24th International Book Biennial of São Paulo in August 2016, and was selected by the Board of the Brazilian International Press Awards to compete for the Literature Award as the book of the year produced by a Brazilian living outside Brazil.
In the second phase of the screening, it ranked among the five most voted by the public in a popular election that took place from the beginning of the year until February 26, 2017.
On May 13, the award ceremony will take place at the Amaturo Theatre, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, in Florida.
