For the first time, a film festival, the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival, will showcase over 100 Brazilian productions in the USA, including Puerto Rico and Alaska. The program includes feature films and documentaries produced and released in 2019/2020, as well as short films, showcases of films by indigenous filmmakers, winners of past festivals, and directors who have relevance in their themes to enhance the presence of Black individuals in Brazilian cinema.
The Inffinito will innovate by holding the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival 2020 on the streaming platform www.inff.online, created exclusively by the producer. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the outdoor screenings, a trademark of Inffinito festivals, will take place in Miami only on September 26 in Drive-In format, following all safety guidelines. Starting in November, after the festival, the platform www.inff.online will launch a catalog of Brazilian films available via VOD (video on demand).
From September 26 to October 25, over 100 films selected for the competitive and hors concours showcases of the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival will be available, along with a special selection of films, including productions from the festival honoree, Daniel Filho (photo).
The 2020 edition of the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival will be held in 11 virtual rooms with 8 showcase rooms, 1 room for discussions with filmmakers from the showcases, 1 masterclass room, 1 live room, in addition to parties and an awards night on Inffinito’s social media www.inff.online.
