The brand Cofibam is developing a special rubber to replace neoprene, which is present in both mobile and fixed cables. Due to the scarcity of this type of covering in the market, Cofibam brings to the cable sector a compound with greater mechanical and thermal resistance from Latin America, significantly improving the lifespan of applications. “There is an opportunity to enter other segments, such as the welding cable sector, which also has issues with cable lifespan,” details Hamilton Nakashima, Technical Industrial Director of Cofibam.
The cost-benefit of the new solution is considered a very 
significant evolution, as maintenance on cables tends to be extremely costly. “Many customers will be surprised by the performance of this innovation from Cofibam. This is the second year we have received the award for the most innovative in the country,” concludes Nakashima.
