In every city, there is a place that dance enthusiasts can call their own for a night out. These should be on your must-visit list.
• 1015 Folsom (San Francisco, CA): Between the magnificent decor, three floors, five distinct music rooms with their own bars, a water wall with video, and state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems, it’s no wonder that 1015 Folsom is one of the top EDM options in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Artists who have performed here include Trippy Turtle, Alison Wonderland, Paul Oakenfold, and Dada Life, but you can also find hip hop artists like Wyclef Jean or Big Boi and the weekly Pura Nightclub with its Latin vibe.
• Barley House (Cleveland, OH): The Barley House in Cleveland’s Warehouse District lives a double life. During the day, it is a popular sports bar with happy hour specials, over 20 large-screen TVs, 20 craft beers, and a delicious menu. At night, the space transforms into a full nightclub with DJs and VIP seating. In 2015, Barley House made the list of the 100 Best Nightclubs and Bars, the only establishment in Ohio to qualify.
• Beta (Denver, CO): Beta is one of those nightclubs that every EDM fan should have on their list. The Denver venue boasts an enviable Funktion-One sound system to extract heavy bass sounds and also has a beautiful collection of awards: Best Nightclub in North America (DJMag, 2011), Best Club (Rolling Stone, 2013), and named one of the Best Nightclubs of All Time (Billboard), just to name a few. From dubstep and techno to occasional hits on the Hip-Hop charts, like Lil Jon, Beta’s lineup always pleases the crowd.
• Cielo Club (New York, NY): Located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, Cielo is a staple for those seeking an authentic dance atmosphere. This rustic club plays techno, house, and deep house on a sunken open dance floor in an intimate space. Top DJs and EDM stars from the UK and Ibiza perform here regularly.
• Echostage (Washington, D.C.): If you enjoy having plenty of space to move, unobstructed views, jaw-dropping light shows, and the best DJs like Dada Life, Eric Prydz, and Diplo, Echostage is a must-visit in the Washington, D.C. area. Although it opened only in 2012, Echostage has already reached 8th place among the 100 Best Clubs in the World by DJMag and 1st place in the USA in 2017. This is undoubtedly a place to include in your nightlife itinerary.
