After winning elections in China, in which 190 countries participated, Brazil secured a seat on the Interpol Executive Committee.
The committee is made up of 13 members, three of which are from the Americas. Brazil will take the place of Argentina, which is stepping down after a three-year elected term.
With this election, the country will participate in discussions on measures aimed at security and policing worldwide, in addition to allowing the Federal Police to establish international agreements in these sectors.
