Behind the Scenes NYC (BTSNYC) – The Brasilians

Behind the Scenes NYC (BTSNYC)

Fernanda Paronetto, founder of BTSNYC, offers a collection of places, brands, and events in NY that are not found in the commonly sought tourist guides.

Fê Paronetto, as she is known, arrived in NYC in 2015 bringing with her an Instagram account about one of the most charming and visited cities in the world. It all started because of an indescribable passion for New York City and with the help of a cool group of local friends. In 2016, the Behind the Scenes NYC (BTSNYC) website was launched, featuring tips that go beyond the center of Manhattan. BTSNYC steps off the traditional tourist route and shares a bit about the different neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Queens, heads up to Harlem, and explores other routes in the north of New York State and also, Long Island.

BTSNYC curates experiences that go far beyond expectations. With a large online community, BTSNYC reaches over 1 million views per month across all its social media. The goal is to provide tips on low-profile places, unique experiences, and hot spots known by “hip” New Yorkers, through a light, relaxed, and fun narrative. Many of these are places founded by locals, small entrepreneurs, and startups, aiming to interact with the local community and show residents and visitors that NY is much more than “Manhattan.”

According to Fernanda: “Nothing is as cool as discovering hidden places during a trip and returning home with the experience of having truly lived the life of a local!”

The tips focus on gastronomy, fashion, culture, nightlife, shows, day trips, hotels, among countless other secret treasures.
The YouTube channel is the latest project from Behind the Scenes NYC. The premiere of the 2nd season was in September. The channel promises to provide its subscribers with plenty of entertainment, special guests, secret tours, unusual places, interviews with those shaking up the New York scene, radicalizing with their ideas, and more.

BTSNYC has been making waves with New Yorkers since its inception. One of the comments received was from a woman in her 40s: “Hello! I was born in NYC, have always lived here, and didn’t know the restaurant you recommended. I went there last night and absolutely loved it! Thank you for the tip!” Fê recounts.

BTSNYC also offers numerous Concierge services for corporate clients spread across the four corners of the world and leads a social responsibility program.RAFAELA M. AZEVEDO
