As usual, Fortune magazine has released its 2017 ranking of the best companies to work for in the United States. For the sixth consecutive time, Google took the top spot in the ranking.
Criteria such as free food, haircuts and laundry services, transgender inclusion policies, and maternity leave placed Google at the top of the ranking.
To compile the ranking, the magazine conducts a survey of over 230,000 employees from various companies, which are selected from another ranking, the Trust Index. The employees themselves anonymously evaluate the work environment, including their leaders, support for personal and professional life, and their relationships with coworkers.
