Brazilian Handicrafts Now Have Their Own Portal – The Brasilians

Brazilian Handicrafts Now Have Their Own Portal

With the support of the Rouanet Law, artisans and masters from traditional communities producing handicrafts in Brazil have gained a portal to showcase their work, exchange experiences, and professionalize the sector. The new platform is part of the National Network of Brazilian Cultural Handicrafts (Artesol).

For now, the site promotes the work of 126 groups and associations of artisans. It functions like a social network, where each group has its own page, with photos and information about the community and the handicrafts produced. The platform also allows for message sending, which could pave the way for the commercialization of works.

Other masters and artisans will also be able to create a profile on the portal, as long as they are part of traditional community groups, since the goal is to strengthen the roots of Brazilian handicrafts.
