Angra dos Reis: one of the best destinations for 2017

The year 2017 has arrived, bringing with it the opportunity to travel more and discover beaches, major cities, and diverse cultures around the world. Angra dos Reis (RJ) is among the 50 destinations selected by Travel and Leisure, one of the most recognized American publications.

The publication highlights not only the crystal-clear waters but also the visa exemption in Brazil during the Olympic period.

While some took the opportunity to enjoy the sports, other foreigners escaped the crowds and explored Brazil in places like Angra dos Reis. Such references reinforce Embratur’s (Brazilian Tourism Institute) advocacy for making the exemption permanent, explains the Institute’s president, Vinicius Lummertz.

“The visa exemption increased the entry of foreign tourists benefiting from the measure in our country by 55%, allowing places like Angra to be explored. That’s why we advocate for the policy to become permanent, and Travel’s visibility strengthens the argument of Brazilian tourism entities,” he emphasizes.

The sophistication of Angra dos Reis and the glamour of its beaches are on Travel’s wishlist. The municipality, located in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro, is globally recognized for its rich coastline, composed of 365 islands. For more information on tickets and packages, call BACC Travel at (212) 730-1010.
