At around 1:30 PM this Friday (9), an aircraft from the French brand ATR, operated by Voepass, crashed in Vinhedo, a neighboring city of Campinas in the interior of São Paulo, and near the Viracopos airport, to which it was heading from Cascavel, in Paraná, a state in southern Brazil. The company reported in a statement that flight 2283 had 58 passengers and 4 crew members.
Voepass Linhas Aéreas stated that it has activated all means to support those involved. There is still no confirmation on how the accident occurred, but there are no survivors. The plane crashed into a residential condominium, but by Friday afternoon there were no reports of victims outside the aircraft. This information was provided by the Secretary of Social Defense of Vinhedo, Osmir Aparecido Cruz, who was at the accident site.
