Paula Lima, the perfect symbol and icon of Samba today, will fly to the Sunset of Pompano Beach to perform at LUAU Pompano Beach as the main headliner. The event takes place on May 20 at North Ocean Boulevard, Pompano Beach, Florida, from 11 AM to 10 PM.

Paula Lima is a Brazilian Samba star, a Latin Grammy Award nominee, a carnival commentator on TV, a judge on the Brazilian version of the TV show “Idols,” the lead in the Brazilian version of the Broadway musical “Cats,” and a judge at Miss Brazil 2016. She brings a modern style of samba to North America, infused with the energy of Bossa Nova, Jazz, R&B, and Funk.

The Luau Pompano Beach is a full day of activities, fun, interaction, good food, and good music on 100,000 square feet of beachfront property. The event not only celebrates “100 years of Samba” but also unites the entire community regardless of origin and ethnicity. The SUNSET STAGE (beach stage) will be a musical journey through beach songs loved by many generations in the U.S. Fifty exhibitors and food vendors with unique products, services, offers, and flavors will surprise attendees regardless of nationality. A technologically advanced arcade will bring together video game enthusiasts and beachgoers in the LED Fun Zone. The LUAU STAGE (main stage) will feature a bikini fashion show and officially kick off the summer, culminating in a concert under the stars and moonlight with Brazil’s Samba star, Paula Lima.

The LUAU Pompano Beach is an event of the Parks and Recreation Multicultural Arts Department, Pompano Beach CRA, The Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, The Heartbeat Foundation, produced by Brazil in Concert, with scenography by Via Americas.
