Brazilian fashion was in the spotlight on the international scene on October 26, when designer Maísa Gouveia presented her
work at Global Couture U.S., held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, in Washington, D.C.
Under the theme “Aquarela de Estilos”, Maísa unveiled a vibrant and lively collection, inspired by diversity and freedom of expression. The creations explore a rich palette of colors and textures, celebrating plurality and the beauty of differences — a signature of the designer, known for blending sophistication, authenticity, and Brazilian charm in her pieces.
The looks transition between fitted and fluid silhouettes,
creating a harmonious balance that flatters different body types and personalities. The godê cut, one of the main highlights of the collection, is reinvented with a contemporary touch, while refined details on the sleeves add freshness and elegance to each look.

Each color, shape, and texture was carefully chosen to convey emotions and stories — because fashion is, above all, a form of expression,” says Maísa Gouveia.
More than a simple fashion show, the presentation was a sensory experience, in which each look was treated as a true work of art. The collection reflects the designer’s creative vision of fashion as a bridge between cultures and identities, reinforcing the strength of Brazilian design on the global stage.
Global Couture U.S. is a prestigious event that brings together designers from around the world, aiming to promote cultural exchange and highlight fashion as a universal form of artistic expression.
