São Paulo will host the 1st edition of Agrotalk Business on August 8, an invitation-only event that will open discussions on the current Brazilian economic scenario. The confirmed speakers are: Antonia Fontenelle, entrepreneur and commentator; Antonio Cabrera Mano Filho, former Minister of Agriculture; Evaristo de Miranda, researcher at Embrapa; Paulo Junqueira, president of the Rural Union of Ribeirão Preto; and Nilson Leite, CEO of Haras Rosa Mystica and Agribusiness Advisor at ACSP (São Paulo Commercial Association).
In addition to the entrepreneurial talk with the speakers, the event will bring together names from agribusiness, rural producers, and companies that provide services and inputs for the sector. This event will create an environment for sharing ideas and information directly from the sector, as the panel will feature discussions and exchanges of experiences with guests representing São Paulo’s agribusiness.
Details about the speakers and the topics to be addressed at the event:
• Paulo Junqueira – President of entities, unions, and associations such as Assovale and the Rural Union of Ribeirão Preto. Topic: Invasions of private properties and the importance of the CPI of MST to prevent new environmental crimes.
• Evaristo de Miranda – researcher at EMBRAPA for 40 years. Topic: Sustainable agriculture and deforestation in the Amazon and Europe.
• Antonio Cabrera Mano Filho – former Minister of Agriculture. Topic: Impact of tax reform on agribusiness.
• Nilson Leite – Agribusiness Advisor at ACSP (São Paulo Commercial Association). Topic: Crop Plan and challenges for the sector to maintain a positive outlook in the current government.
• Antonia Fontenelle – entrepreneur and commentator at Jovem Pan. Topic: The reflection of agribusiness on other Brazilian production chains.
The meeting will take place from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM at the Iulia Jockey Club in São Paulo, in the format of a corporate dinner.
According to Curator Aryane Garcia, the 2nd edition is expected to happen soon; most likely in the first quarter of 2024. “This meeting will be a great reference to gather and promote, in an intimate format, the main agribusiness entrepreneurs who drive 20% of the entire workforce in Brazil and represent a portion of the record revenue of R$ 1.18 trillion, spontaneously placing agribusiness at the financial and political epicenter in the coming years,” details Aryane.

– The Gross Value of Agricultural Production (VPB) for 2022 closed at R$ 1.189 trillion;
– Brazilian agribusiness is breaking revenue records. In the last year, crop revenue was R$ 814.77 billion and livestock revenue was R$ 374.27 billion;
– According to a survey by CEPEA/USP, more than 18 million people work in agribusiness; an increase of over 1 million people compared to 2021 data.
