Historic underinvestment, vast needs, and a rapidly improving business environment place Brazil at the forefront of global infrastructure opportunities. The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce in New York will hold a roundtable updating the progress of the PPI (Investment Partnerships Program) in granting public-private partnerships to meet the country’s needs. The opening speech will be delivered by the Secretary of Public Policies of the PPI, Pedro Bruno Barros de Souza.
Accompanying Secretary Bruno will be Alexandre Pierantoni from Duff and Phelps, whose consulting work provides insights into investors’ considerations when analyzing the opportunities presented by the Program. He will be joined by Tozzini Freire to discuss important regulatory and legal issues under Brazilian law associated with the PPI and by Francesca Odell from Cleary Gottlieb, who will highlight key cross-border issues involved in structured transactions.
