Ilha do Mel, A Paradise in Southern Brazil – The Brasilians

Ilha do Mel, A Paradise in Southern Brazil

Calm waters, stunning landscapes, natural scenery, and excellent beaches make up this paradise located in the Baía de Paranaguá, just 130 km from Curitiba.

Ilha do Mel (Ilha do Mel) is located on the coast of the state of Paraná, 24 km from the municipality of Paranaguá. The island hosts beautiful beaches that can be visited year-round and the best-preserved stretch of Atlantic Forest in the country.

Vehicles are not allowed on the island, so you will find several sandy streets and paths perfect for long walks. The island also has good infrastructure, including inns and restaurants.

The island’s beaches will please all types of visitors. Praia da Fortaleza (Praia da Fortaleza), for example, is untouched and deserted. Praia das Encantadas (Praia das Encantadas), on the other hand, is popular among young people. And Praia Grande (Praia Grande) has great waves for surfing.

Only 5,000 visitors can enter the island at a time, and pets are not allowed.

How to get there
