The 20th edition of the Havana Film Festival New York (HFFNY) presents an exceptional program with over 35 films from Cuba, Latin America, and Latino filmmakers in the U.S. making their New York, U.S., and world premieres. Participating countries include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, and the U.S. The event takes place from April 9 to 16, 2019, with special events on April 5, 6, and 8.
The HFFNY is the longest-running Latino film festival in NYC; it presents an annual cinema and cultural event experience that New Yorkers eagerly await, showcasing the latest Latino films from prominent and emerging visionaries in cinema across the continent. The festival offers an international rainbow of award-winning films, retrospectives, masterclasses, and discussion panels with notable local and international directors, actors, and producers.
