FIFA Announces Time and Venue for the 2026 World Cup Final

FIFA announced on this Saturday (6) the time of the 2026 World Cup final. The team that will lift the 2026 world champion trophy will be known from 4 PM (Brasília time) on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the same venue as Brazil’s opening match in the competition on June 13 at 7 PM (Brasília time) against Morocco.

The event held on the afternoon of this Saturday in Washington (United States) also confirmed that the World Cup opening match (Mexico vs. South Africa) will take place on June 11 at Estádio Azteca in Mexico City at 4 PM (Brasília time).

Advancing as leader of Group C in the group stage, Brazil will face the second-placed team from Group F (Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia, and the winner of the playoff between Ukraine, Sweden, Poland, and Albania) on June 29 at NRG Stadium in Houston. If it advances in second place in its group, Brazil will face the leader of Group F on June 29 at Estádio El Gigante de Acero in Monterrey, Mexico.

The path to the 2026 World Cup grand final will also include the round of 32 matches (scheduled from June 28 to July 3, 2026). The round of 16 will take place from July 4 to 7, 2026; the quarterfinals from July 9 to 11; the semifinals on July 14 and 15; and the third-place match on July 18 at Hard Rock Stadium (Miami).

Check where and when Brazil takes the field

The path of the Brazilian National Team in the World Cup is already set. The definition came after the official announcement of the tournament’s first phase made by FIFA on this Saturday (6), when the venues, dates, and times of the games that open the national campaign were presented. Brazil will cross three U.S. states during the group stage.

The opening match is scheduled for June 13 at 7 PM (Brasília time) in New Jersey against Morocco. Six days later, on June 19, Brazil will face Haiti in Philadelphia at 10 PM. The initial phase ends on June 24, when the team will play against Scotland in Miami, again at 7 PM.

The draw held on Friday (5) placed Brazil in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.

With the stadiums and times now defined, the Brazilian National Team knows its route through the United States. The host country has a large Brazilian community, which should ensure a strong presence of fans in the stands throughout the three matches.
