SHEIN, a global e-commerce retailer of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products, announced that it has teamed up with global pop star Anitta to launch evoluSHEIN x Anitta, the first product collaboration featured in SHEIN’s evoluSHEIN by Design initiative, which has accelerated the use of more sustainable materials and responsible manufacturing practices across the company. SHEIN is working to reduce the environmental impact of its products with the ambition of sourcing the majority of its private label products according to its evoluSHEIN by Design Standard by 2030, rewarding responsible suppliers and raising awareness among its global audience of fashion enthusiasts.

The new collection highlights the three main environmentally focused material programs that SHEIN launched in the past year:
Styles made from recycled polyester support the transition away from virgin polyester and contribute to SHEIN’s decarbonization strategy.
Forest-safe viscose styles are part of SHEIN’s commitment to sourcing wood-derived fibers from suppliers that do not threaten vital ancient forests.
Several limited-edition styles are made with rescued fabrics left by other fashion brands, creatively giving new life to high-quality surplus fabrics instead of letting them end up in landfills or incinerators.
Each piece is produced according to the evoluSHEIN by Design Standard, which requires that garments contain at least 30% preferred materials and are manufactured by suppliers who have achieved a high level of social and environmental compliance verified by third-party audits. All items in the collection are shipped in packaging made with recycled content.
