Egypt Inaugurates World’s Largest Archaeological Museum Dedicated to Egyptian Civilization

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi announced that the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM, English acronym) will be officially inaugurated on November 1st. All internal works have been finalized, and the museum is ready to receive visitors, as reported by Sada El-Balad, a TV BRICS partner.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also instructed the competent agencies to prepare for the event, which is expected to be a significant milestone for the country and attract global attention.

Located near the Giza Pyramids and occupying an area of nearly 500,000 square meters, the GEM will be the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to Egyptian civilization. The museum will house approximately 57,000 artifacts, including pieces of great historical value.

The Egyptian government will send invitations to presidents and heads of government from various countries to attend the opening ceremony. Authorities also emphasized the expectation that the inauguration will reflect Egypt’s elevated cultural status.
