2026 World Cup: Brazil drawn with Morocco, Scotland and Haiti – The Brasilians

Brazil is grouped with Morocco, Scotland and Haiti in Group C of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The Brazilian national team’s group in the competition, to be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, was defined this Friday (5) through a draw held at the Kennedy Center in Washington (United States). The team led by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti will debut on June 13 against the Moroccans, in a venue yet to be defined.

The green and yellow team was in pot 1 of the draw, alongside the other tournament seeds: Canada, Mexico, United States, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

In the draw, the host countries – Canada, Mexico and United States – were allocated to pot 1. The other 39 qualified teams were distributed into four pots of 12 teams each according to the FIFA Men’s World Ranking published on November 19, 2025. Finally, the two spots from the 2026 World Cup playoff tournament, as well as the four European playoff spots, were allocated to pot 4.

• Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea and European Playoff D (Czech Republic, Ireland, Denmark or North Macedonia)

• Group B: Canada, European Playoff A (Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales or Bosnia), Qatar and Switzerland

• Group D: United States, Paraguay, Australia and European Playoff C (Turkey, Romania, Slovakia or Kosovo)

• Group E: Germany, Curaçao, Ivory Coast and Ecuador

• Group F: Netherlands, Japan, European Playoff B (Ukraine, Sweden, Poland or Albania) and Tunisia

• Group G: Belgium, Egypt, Iran and New Zealand

• Group H: Spain, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay

• Group I: France, Senegal, Intercontinental Playoff 2 (Bolivia, Suriname or Iraq) and Norway

• Group J: Argentina, Algeria, Austria and Jordan

• Group K: Portugal, Intercontinental Playoff 1 (DR Congo, Jamaica or New Caledonia) Uzbekistan and Colombia

• Group L: England, Croatia, Ghana and Panama

The 2026 World Cup will bring together 48 teams, which will play a total of 104 matches. The opening match, between Mexico and South Africa, will be played on June 11, 2026, at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City (Mexico). The grand final is scheduled for July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (United States).
