The Federal Police (PF) launched, on this Wednesday (8), in a joint action with the civil police of 16 states, Operation National Proteção Integral III. The objective is to identify suspects involved in crimes of sexual abuse of children and adolescents committed, mainly, via the internet.
In a statement, the police reported the simultaneous execution of 182 search and seizure warrants and 11 preventive arrest warrants nationwide. As of the latest update, 19 people had been arrested, two minors apprehended, and one victim rescued.
The operation involves 617 federal police officers and 273 civil police officers from the following states: Alagoas, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo, in addition to the Federal District.
Integration
“The operation reinforces the integration between federal and state police forces and demonstrates the joint commitment to protecting children and adolescents. Operation Proteção Integral III continues the previous operations launched in March and May 2025, highlighting the Federal Police’s ongoing work in this area,” the Federal Police reported.
Data from the agency indicate that between January and September this year, more than 1,630 arrest warrants were served against fugitives convicted of sexual crimes.
“The Federal Police alerts parents and guardians about the importance of monitoring and guiding children’s and adolescents’ internet use, discussing risks openly and teaching how to react to inappropriate contacts in virtual environments. Prevention and information are the most effective tools to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adolescents,” the Federal Police concluded.
