Brazilian Brands at Coterie in NY

Twenty-one Brazilian brands arrived in New York in February to participate in the Coterie, Magic, and Curve fashion fairs at the Javits Center, which took place from February 27 to March 1. The companies are part of Texbrasil, Fashion Label Brasil, and Brazilian Footwear, programs carried out through partnerships between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), Abit (Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry), Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers), and Abicalçados (Brazilian Association of Shoe Industries), respectively.

The Brazilian delegation at Coterie included the brands Barbara Bela, Maria Pavan, Nay Sunsetwear, Paola Benardi, Cris Seleme, Vero Senso, Cruise, Eneida França, and Cristina Sabatini from Texbrasil, Catarina Mina, Nádia Gimenes, Serpui, Lavish, Sabine Arias, Gissa Bicalho, and Andreza Chagas from Fashion Label Brasil, and Melissa, Paula Ferber, Schutz, and Paula Torres from Brazilian Footwear. Magic NY, which took place at the same location, featured Zinzane from Texbrasil.

Coterie is one of the main events for women’s fashion and accessories in the United States and attracts major buyers such as Neiman Marcus, Net-à-Porter, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie twice a year.

“It is an essential showcase for Brazilian women’s fashion brands that want to develop business in the United States. Our delegation has been participating for years,” said Lilian Kaddissi, executive manager of Texbrasil.
