The Sad and Worrying Story Behind Liam Payne’s Death

The music world was shocked when Liam Payne, former lead singer of One Direction, was found dead at 31 after apparently falling from the balcony of the hotel where he was staying in Buenos Aires.

Investigations by the Argentine police into the case reveal heartbreaking details: ‘traces’ of various drugs, including “pink cocaine,” were found in Liam’s system at the time of his death.

The first toxicology reports released on Monday (21) confirm the presence of several substances in Liam’s body, including cocaine, benzodiazepines, crack, and the recreational drug known as “pink cocaine.”

This synthetic drug is a potent mix of methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA. According to sources, investigators also found an improvised aluminum pipe in Liam’s hotel room, commonly used to smoke crack.

The authorities are now focused on locating the person responsible for supplying these substances to the singer. Investigators are particularly looking into two hotel staff members—a cleaner and another team member—who may have played a role in providing drugs to Liam in the days leading up to the tragic incident. Detectives discovered the drugs hidden inside a Dove soap box in his room after his fall.

Pink Cocaine

Pink cocaine is a synthetic drug mix that typically does not contain cocaine. The three most common substances that can be found in it are MDMA, ketamine, and 2C-B.

MDMA, or ecstasy, is a common party drug with mild stimulant and psychedelic properties. Ketamine, which is equally popular, is a powerful anesthetic with dissociative, sedative, and hallucinogenic effects.

2C-B is a lesser-known substance. It is a potent psychedelic drug with hallucinogenic and stimulant effects. MDMA and 2C-B are Class A drugs, while ketamine is Class B.

This dangerous drug cocktail creates a potent experience. It has been associated with a growing number of drug-related deaths in recent years.

The drug is typically found in powder or pill form and is recognizable by its vibrant pink color—artificially added to make it more appealing.

One major concern among experts regarding pink cocaine, also known as “tusi,” arises from the unpredictable mix of substances, each carrying its own risks. While the name may suggest to users that they will be taking cocaine, they are likely to be consuming several other drugs.

The inclusion of ketamine is a particular concern, as abuse of the substance can lead to loss of consciousness and difficulty breathing, which can lead to death in some cases.

Pink cocaine has gained a reputation as a “designer drug” in recent years and is marketed as a high-quality product for around £76 (almost $100.00) per gram, according to a report.
