Lady Gaga – The Brasilians

Lady Gaga (1986) is an American singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and music producer, one of the greatest representatives of global Show Business. Gaga has become an icon of the pop universe.

Lady Gaga (1986) (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) was born in New York City on March 28, 1986. She was raised in the affluent Upper West Side of New York. At four years old, she learned to play the piano. She studied at the Catholic school, Convent of the Sacred Heart, in the Upper West Side. At 13, she composed her first song. By 14, accompanied by her mother, she was singing in nightclubs. She was admitted to the Tisch School of Arts, where she studied music, dropping out in her second year to pursue her artistic career.

In her early years, she worked with small record labels and composed some songs for herself and other artists. The name “Lady Gaga” emerged with the help of music producer Rob Fusari, based on the song “Radio Gaga” by the band Queen.

In 2008, Lady Gaga released her first album “The Fame,” an album entirely composed by her, which was a huge success, with four songs reaching number one on the charts in the UK, Canada, Germany, and Austria. In 2009, her debut album was re-released under the name “The Fame Monster,” an edition that included another disc containing an EP with eight new songs. Her promotional singles were “Alejandro,” “Telephone,” and “Bad Romance.” She began the “The Monster Ball Tour,” which lasted a year and a half.

In 2011, she released her third studio album “Born This Way,” which had four singles in the Top 10: “Born This Way,” “Judas,” “The Edge of Glory,” and “Yoü and I.” In 2013, the singer released her fourth studio album “ART-POP.” The first single “Applause,” which sold over seven million copies, was considered by fans one of the best songs the singer has ever made.

Lady Gaga chose a radical and less fashionable path; her tactic is one of aesthetic shock, with her extravagant and shocking outfits, making her audience expect a surprise with each appearance. The singer has been nominated for various awards, winning in 2008 for Best Dance/Electronic Album with “The Fame” and Best Female Artist: Pop Rock at the American Music Awards.

In 2014, Lady Gaga released the jazz album “Cheek to Cheek” in partnership with Tony Bennett, which was a huge success, reaching number one in sales in the United States, hitting 202,000 copies on its first day.

In 2015, at the Oscar awards, Lady Gaga was one of the attractions of the event, performing on stage in tribute to the film “The Sound of Music,” which won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1965, receiving a standing ovation.
