Republica launches “Brutal & Beautiful” worldwide

Republica, this is the name of the Brazilian band that has been growing in the international scene. Formed by Leo Beling (vocals), LF Vieira (guitars), Marco Vieira (bass), Jorge Marinhas (guitars), and Mike Maeda (drums), the band recently released its fourth solo album, Brutal & Beautiful.

The launch of Republica’s new album was done in style, at Brazil’s largest festival, Rock In Rio, where they performed for the third consecutive time, taking the Sunset stage and showcasing the new album in its entirety for the first time to the audience. During the festival, the band met rock legend Alice Cooper, for whom they opened shows in Europe in early December, and also received visits from musicians Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Zak Starkey of The Who during the band’s rehearsal. Republica was also invited to open shows for the Scorpions in Sweden, which took place in November.

The rock group is now promoting Brutal & Beautiful, which features 11 new tracks. Released worldwide under the German label Odyssey Music Network, Republica aims to reach international audiences and an even broader public. This process began with the album’s production in the USA, in Los Angeles, by Matt Wallace, known for his work with bands like Faith No More, Maroon 5, Deftones, 3 Doors Down, and Train.

“Everything we have achieved so far has given us the strength to believe that the music we make deserves to be heard not only in our country but around the world,” says Leo Beling, Republica’s vocalist.

Since they began working on the new album, the band has already released the lyric video and the music video for “Stand Your Ground,” the theme song for the Globo soap opera Rock Story, the singles “The Maze” and “Beautiful Lie,” which features a music video starring actress Isis Valverde, as well as the videos for “Intimacy Of Your Soul” and “Broken.” The album is available on all digital platforms.

The Brazilian edition of Rolling Stone magazine gave its highest rating in its review of the new album: “Republica manages to combine beauty and strength, as indicated by the title of the work, and in a very efficient way.”

Similarly, Brutal & Beautiful also made its mark in the international market, receiving very positive reviews in countries such as Italy, France, the Netherlands, England, Belgium, and Finland.
