A generation capable of changing a country – The Brasilians

A generation capable of changing a country

Known as Generation Y, finding millionaires in the economic landscape among thirty-somethings is part of a segment of the new entrepreneurial machinery in Brazil.

The entrepreneurship that does not come from privilege has led those born in the 80s and 90s to step out of their comfort zones to become business owners and leave their jobs as employees.

The reason for this change is the countless possibilities in the digital age.

On the free platform, known as the “King of Instagram,” young Alagoan Carlinhos Maia has already surpassed 10 million followers and is the second profile with the most viewed stories in the world. The content is simple. Maia tells stories from everyday life in a Brazilian village, coming in second only to socialite Kim Kardashian, star of the American clan “Keep up with the Kardashians,” a reality TV show that showcases the routine of one of the most talked-about families in the celebrity world.

This view of entrepreneurship was not included in our educational studies. Amidst the slow recovery of the economy and one of the highest unemployment rates in history, young Brazilians need to position themselves in the job market, and more than that, they need to sustain themselves. Building a career plan through entrepreneurship is the great alternative to generate their own income. It means not depending on a job vacancy. It means creating their own story.

Among the opportunities where young people have stood out by implementing new ideas with functions already programmed by the system are: E-commerce, Startups, Econegócio, Aesthetics and Well-Being, Fashion, among others.

If your business plan has many characteristics to make a difference in people’s lives: take the risk!
