Brazil has four of the five most punctual airports in the world

Brazil has four airports among the most punctual in the world in the medium-sized category. This finding comes from the monthly report by Cirium, a company specializing in aviation data, released by the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac). The terminals in Confins (MG), Congonhas (SP), Salvador (BA), and Brasília (DF) ranked in the top four positions, with punctuality rates above 96%.

According to the Minister of Tourism, Gilson Machado Neto, these good numbers are a result of the country’s commitment to regulating the aviation sector. “We have been constantly working on regulation, attracting investments, and making structural improvements so that Brazilian airports are increasingly prepared to meet the demand we will have, especially in the post-Covid-19 scenario. Punctuality, combined with the adoption of biosafety protocols, will ensure more comfort and safety for our passengers.”

The ranking, one of the oldest in the market, is published monthly and evaluates the performance of airports worldwide in terms of punctuality. The intention is to provide airport terminals, airlines, and passengers with data and information about which locations are meeting the scheduled times for flights between domestic and international destinations.
