Multiple Grammy Winner Eliane Elias Charms as Singer, Pianist, and Composer in New Album

It’s time for “Time And Again!” — the new and highly anticipated release from world-renowned Brazilian pianist, composer, and vocalist Eliane Elias. Officially released on June 28, “Time And Again” presents us with Elias’s unique blend of her Brazilian roots and mastery of jazz, R&B, and popular songs. The album marks her third recording for Candid Records and is available on vinyl, CD, and all streaming platforms.

Produced by Eliane with her long-time team Marc Johnson and Steve Rodby, “Time And Again” highlights Elias’s exceptional original compositions with 8 original tracks. Featured musicians on the album include guitarists Conrado Goys, Marcus Teixeira, and Daniel Santiago, along with Marc Johnson on acoustic bass, Marcelo Mariano on electric bass, and drummers Edu Ribeiro and Cuca Teixeira. Guest artists include vibraphonist Mike Mainieri, drummer Peter Erskine, exceptional guitarist Bill Frisell, percussionists Marivaldo dos Santos and Davi Vieira, and background vocals by Mark Kibble. Eliane invited Mark Kibble, the arranger from Take 6, for the first time on her 2015 GRAMMY-winning album Made in Brazil. “For ‘Time And Again’ Mark created background vocals on 6 of the 8 songs. I really feel that we have a special affinity in music and together we created a very unique sound,” says Eliane.

Throughout her distinguished career, Eliane Elias has consistently demonstrated the ability to integrate the many artistic roles she assumes. This is another remarkable record that punctuates Eliane Elias’s brilliant musical journey. Eliane is currently on a world tour in support of “Time And Again” – the schedule can be accessed at the link: https://elianeelias.com/tour/.

Her albums from 2019 and 2021 (Love Stories and Mirror Mirror) were both named “Downbeat’s Best Album of the Year – Masterpiece” and, like most of her previous releases, her recordings reached #1 on the global jazz charts. Eliane has received eleven nominations for the GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY, in 5 different categories, with two GRAMMYs and two Latin GRAMMY awards to date. Her GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY-winning album from 2022, Mirror Mirror, showcased her mastery of piano and improvisation in a collection of duets with Chucho Valdés and Chick Corea. With her following 2023 album, nominated for the GRAMMY and LATIN GRAMMY, Quietude, her intoxicating vocals took center stage as she interpreted Brazilian standards. With this latest album, her skills as a composer are once again highlighted, showcasing her captivating voice and musical mastery, solidifying her status as the reigning queen of Brazilian jazz.
