Visiting the World of Football – The Brasilians

Visiting the World of Football

São Paulo lives intensely a national passion: football. This love is clearly present at the Football Museum, one of the must-see attractions in the city. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a football lover; it’s practically impossible not to be swept up in the atmosphere of the Museum.

The Football Museum, inaugurated in 2008, is located in the Pacaembu Stadium, one of the most well-known stadiums in São Paulo. Built on an area of 6,900 m², the Museum provides an impressive audiovisual experience. The history of the sport is showcased through 18 themed rooms, 1,500 photographs, 5 hours of videos, and other materials.

In addition to viewing the photos, you can feel the excitement of the fans through the crowd’s cheers on the big screens and hear goals narrated in the audio booths. Try your hand at one of the Museum’s interactive attractions, such as taking a penalty kick and measuring the speed of your shot or playing with a virtual ball. Be sure to learn about the history of the World Cups and Brazil’s participation in each one of them.

For those who already love football, the Museum is a must-visit on your trip to Sampa. For those who aren’t very interested in the sport, the Museum can completely change your opinion as soon as you explore its space and feel the excitement it conveys in every carefully planned detail.
