Imbituba is located in the south of the state of Santa Catarina, 90 km from the capital Florianópolis. The city offers a lush setting of white sandy beaches and well-preserved Atlantic Forest, with areas suitable for surfing and other water sports.
The municipality is known for being a sighting point for southern right whales, which migrate from the South Pole between July and November for breeding and nursing their calves. As a result, it was classified as a Southern Right Whale Environmental Protection Area in 2000.
Praia do Rosa, one of the most famous in the region, is nestled between mountains and abundant greenery. With its 7 km stretch, it offers a wide variety of cacti and flowers, as well as several ecological trails. A favorite spot for surfers and windsurfing enthusiasts, the beach provides good conditions for fishing, trekking, and even horseback riding.
With equally calm waters, Lagoa de Ibiraquera is suitable for kitesurfing, canoeing, sport fishing,

Stand Up Paddle (SUP), and other water sports. Abundant in the lagoon, pink shrimp is an attraction that enriches the local cuisine with its unique flavor.
If you enjoy tranquility and adventure, visit Praia Vermelha, which is practically deserted. Located between Praia do Rosa and Praia do Ouvidor, it is about 500m long and suitable for surfing. Access is only via trails, one starting from the left side of Praia do Rosa (Rosa Norte) and another near the entrance of Praia do Ouvidor. There is no service infrastructure, so prepare with supplies and remember to take your trash with you.
Also accessible by trail, Praia do Ouvidor is calm, ideal for swimming and canoeing. Before arriving there, you can observe from a natural viewpoint its blue waters and white sands, adorned with coconut groves, dunes, and rocks. This beach also lacks service infrastructure.
