In Brazil, we are used to looking for tire repair shops when a flat occurs. But what about Brazilians living in the United States?
Luis Miranda shares his experience in Florida when he took his car to a Goodyear-affiliated establishment:
-“Upon arriving there, I was informed that simple repairs like in Brazil (probably referring to the use of the so-called ‘noodle’) were not done. Therefore, it would be necessary to wait for the hot vulcanization process (application of a small layer of rubber glued to the inside of the puncture, with the help of high pressure and the use of a special sealant, allowing the fusion (by heat) of materials that make up a tire, which are rubber, canvas, and nylon). The estimated time was two hours, and when it came time to find out the price, there was a big surprise: free service.”
The team from the channel Canadá Diário shared their experience in Seattle when they also had problems with a flat tire on their Hyundai Elantra and went to a store. In this case, the repair actually took quite a long time. But when they received the invoice for payment, there was again a huge surprise; Free.
These two experiences show, in practice, brutal differences compared to what we usually see in Brazil. Free competition and the pursuit of customer satisfaction and loyalty bring immense advantages for those who need this service in the United States.
