The Beaches of Brazil You Need to Know – The Brasilians

The Beaches of Brazil You Need to Know

Brazil is the largest country in South America in terms of land area and ranks fifth among all places in the world, only behind Russia, Canada, China, and the United States. A land of welcoming people, enchanting beauty, and rich cultural traits. Brazil is increasingly on the list of places to visit, even for those living abroad or within the country itself. Its vast territorial region has attractions in every corner of the country, making it unnecessary to comment on the many itineraries and places to be explored.

Every year, some beaches stand out on the Brazilian coast due to discoveries made by tourists or constant local promotions. 2018 was no different! We will show you the sensational beaches of Brazil that you cannot miss on your summer vacation trips, where there is plenty of sea, sun, shade, and fresh water.

There are plenty of destinations to explore, from North to South, for relaxation or celebration. Just choose.

Jurerê Beach (Florianópolis, SC)

This is Jurerê, located on the northern coast of Florianópolis and a hotspot for young and beautiful people, full of parties and excitement. Considered the trendiest beach on the trendiest island in Brazil.

Jurerê can actually be divided into two: the Traditional and the International. The first, on the right side, is more family-friendly and tranquil, filled with houses and hotels. The second, on the left, is often compared to Miami, with parties on the sand and kiosks frequently playing electronic music.

Jurerê Internacional is also the most luxurious neighborhood in Floripa. Its mansions with North American inspiration have no walls, as the neighborhood is well patrolled by security companies. And on the streets, you can find many luxury cars that are unimaginable in other places.

The beach of Jurerê itself is quite pleasant, with calm waters and a great structure of kiosks to serve everyone. There are also plenty of accommodation and dining options of all kinds, in addition to beach clubs that host the most sought-after parties on the Island of Magic.

In the end, it is a beautiful option for those who want to enjoy the Brazilian summer to the fullest.

Itamambuca Beach (Ubatuba, SP)

It is no secret that the northern coast of São Paulo has been recognized for its beautiful beaches and top-notch infrastructure to welcome tourists. Although some places like Guarujá, Ilhabela, Maresias, and Bertioga may be more famous, the beach that has everything to win hearts this summer is Itamambuca, located in Ubatuba. Among the more than 100 beaches in the city, this one deserves the most attention due to its beauty.

With plenty of greenery around, the landscape surrounding Itamambuca is stunning. After all, it is situated in the midst of a reserve of the Atlantic Forest, with the added bonus of the river of the same name flowing into the sea, making the scenery even more breathtaking. In this little corner, the waters are calm, and everyone can enjoy. But it also has its fair share of big waves, becoming a hotspot for surfers and hosting championships over the years. Although preservation is the tone there, there are many bars and restaurants nearby, generally with a rustic and cozy atmosphere.

And because it is close to both São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, it does not go unnoticed by Paulistas and Cariocas in the summer.

Carneiros Beach (Tamandaré, PE)

One of the most exuberant beaches on the coast of Pernambuco is Carneiros Beach, located in Tamandaré. The small village already has good urbanization, many vacation homes, and infrastructure of kiosks to serve bathers, although it still retains the charm of a place that was discovered recently by the general public. Through dirt roads, you can reach a practically deserted place even in high season.

Carneiros has visitor support points in kiosks and restaurants, as well as parking for those arriving by car. The dining options are good, and many offer hammocks to rest after indulging in quality Northeastern cuisine. On the beach, you can also have a lot of fun with horseback riding and raft rides, or even rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards to paddle through the blue waters of Pernambuco.

Then just enjoy the beauty of one of the most untouched and beautiful beaches in northeastern Brazil.

Pipa Beach (Tibau do Sul, RN)

Although it has been quite sought after in recent years, Pipa Beach, in Tibau do Sul, has everything to gain even more followers this summer. It is no secret that the coastline of Rio Grande do Norte is one of the most beautiful in Brazil – and still holds many hidden gems. Pipa has already been discovered, and its small village welcomes tourists from all over due to its incredible beauty led by the stunning cliffs and crystal-clear waters.

Understand why Pipa is the sensation of the Northeast!

The surrounding region has beaches for all tribes. The more lively ones and the calmer ones; the trendy ones and the quiet ones; those with more or less structure. Dolphin Bay can be considered the main one, with charming animals making appearances from time to time – there are boat tours to see them in the open sea and, if lucky, swim alongside them. Among the wild beaches or the many kiosks catering to tourists, there are plenty of cozy inns, renowned restaurants, or bars to set the tone for the night.

If Pipa was already the hottest beach on the Potiguar coast, its mix of simplicity with structure should help it stay on top of the state for another year.

Azeda and Azedinha (Búzios, RJ)

Búzios has long been one of the favorites on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Since the French actress Brigitte Bardot discovered the place in the 60s and helped popularize it for tourists from all over the world, the city has also become a hotspot for Cariocas, Paulistas, and people from all over Brazil – and also from other parts, as evidenced by the ever-present Argentinians.

And being a peninsula, Búzios has beaches of all types. The one that is sure to please tourists – and already pleases everyone who arrives there, in fact – is the duo Azeda and Azedinha. These are two beaches where peace reigns, and families can visit without worry. The sea is very calm and features breathtaking crystal-clear waters. There are no restaurants, but the kiosks usually serve all bathers well.

At Azeda, you need to descend a staircase that offers one of the most beautiful views of Búzios. Nature dominates both beaches, and it is the main highlight for those visiting them.

Jericoacoara (Jijoca, CE)

Jericoacoara is one of the most famous beaches in Ceará since it was voted one of the ten most beautiful in the world by a foreign newspaper in the 90s. With that, it began to receive not only visitors from abroad but also Brazilians who discovered this true northeastern paradise five hours from Fortaleza. But despite its international fame, the atmosphere in the small village of Jijoca, where it is located, remains unchanged as if nothing had happened.

As it is a fishing village, you can expect a very rustic environment, with sandy streets and no public lighting. Although the Ceará sea is beautiful, the main attraction there are indeed the lagoons. You can take buggy or raft rides in them, relax in hammocks over the water while sipping a drink, or watch the beautiful sunset on the dunes or between the Pedra Furada. The Blue Lagoon is quieter and simpler, while the Paradise Lagoon has more structure and comfort.

Choose one of them and enjoy your vacation in what is now the best destination in Ceará – and it should remain so for a long time.

At Paradise Lagoon, you can take a raft ride, kayak, stand-up paddle, or just relax in the warm, crystal-clear waters!

Grumari Beach (Rio de Janeiro, RJ)

A beach located within an environmental preservation area right in the city of Rio de Janeiro? Yes, it is possible to find this rarity in Brazil’s most famous capital. Grumari is located in the west zone, a little beyond Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes, and nature is the main highlight. And since the year is set to be dominated by more rustic and untouched beaches, how about getting to know this one in the Marvelous City?

Grumari has been known among locals since the 70s as a surf spot and a place for those seeking tranquility that is absent in Copacabana, Ipanema, or Barra. Its cliffs and lush green hills catch your attention right away, and it is the ideal beach for those who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery of Rio without much hustle.

Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the Marvelous City – if not the most beautiful of all.

Now just choose the beach you want to visit in 2018 and have a great trip!
