Non-Profit Organization Offering Low-Cost Immigration Services Accredited by the U.S. Government

The Imigra Foundation, an organization founded by Brazilians that provides low-cost immigration services in New York, was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice as an entity that works for the good of the community and not for profit. As a result, one of its founders, paralegal Kelly Fontoura, was accredited by the government, meaning she is authorized to assist immigrants in their legal processes even though she is not a lawyer.

“The Department of Justice thoroughly evaluated the organization, the services we provide, the results achieved, the fees we charge, the professionals who work here, and concluded that the Imigra Foundation has the necessary structure to represent clients in immigration matters through accredited representatives,” explained Kelly.

The accredited representative can provide legal advice, fill out forms, represent immigrants in legal proceedings, sign forms and processes, and attend immigration interviews.

Kelly Fontoura

Kelly Fontoura shared that she underwent a rigorous evaluation conducted by the Department of Justice and the District Director of USCIS Immigration Services in New York.

“Both concluded that I possess the character, moral and professional conduct, extensive knowledge of immigration laws, extensive experience with immigration processes, the required courses, and have passed all necessary tests. This evaluation helps ensure that immigrants receive quality and trustworthy assistance,” she added.

Kelly has 17 years of experience working with immigration processes, mainly with the EB-3 employment-based legalization process. She has lived in New York City since 1999, when she arrived in the United States as an immigrant seeking new opportunities. With a degree in Liberal Arts, she has a diverse background that includes experiences as an English Teacher, Translator, Interpreter, and Paralegal.

After years of dedication to the immigrant community, especially the Brazilian community, Kelly felt the need to centralize various essential services for those who choose to live away from their home country. With this goal in mind, she founded the Imigra Foundation, focused on facilitating the integration of newly arrived immigrants through guidance, information, education, and assistance in immigration processes, with a highlighted specialization in EB-3.

By founding a non-profit organization, Kelly aimed to make immigration services accessible to everyone. Thus, the Imigra Foundation offers affordable fees to ensure that its clients receive the necessary help without compromising their finances.

The types of immigration services that the Imigra Foundation offers include:

– EB-3 (employment-based Green Card processes)
– Adjustment of status, i.e., Green Card through family, marriage, or employment
– Change of status, status extension
– Citizenship processes
– Consular processing and others

In addition to immigration services, the Imigra Foundation offers free basic English language courses, basic AI (artificial intelligence) courses (which will open for enrollment in early August), iPhone photography workshops, as well as several other ongoing projects.

The best way to contact the Imigra Foundation is through WhatsApp at (646) 847-6689 and (347) 870-4216.
