Tickets for the 2024 Copa América Will Be On Sale Until The End of February – The Brasilians

Tickets for the 2024 Copa América Will Be On Sale Until The End of February

Tickets for this summer’s Copa América, which will take place in the United States, are expected to be available to the public by the end of February, a CONMEBOL spokesperson said on Tuesday, the 31st. The exact date when tickets for the tournament will go on sale has not yet been determined.

The CONMEBOL is also finalizing how tickets will be sold. Two sources familiar with the tournament’s plans said that each Copa América venue will sell tickets for the matches through its preferred partners, rather than all tickets for the tournament being sold through a single system, as is the case in FIFA World Cups. As a result, tickets for the matches will be available for purchase via Ticketmaster or SeatGeek, depending on where the game is held.

Although tickets are not yet available for purchase, they have already appeared on the secondary market. A search on StubHub for tickets to the Copa América opener in Atlanta, between Argentina and Canada or Trinidad and Tobago, varied from $563 to $66,537 at the time of the search. On its checkout page, StubHub lists the demand for Copa América tickets as “high.”

With no official tickets available yet, these listings have been posted by third-party brokers. Be aware: these brokers do not have tickets for the games in hand. After a consumer purchases the tickets, they will need to acquire the tickets for the games as soon as they are officially put on sale.

Thus, securing tickets to see the Copa América matches this summer is likely to be expensive. Additionally, there will be a relatively short period for fans to book hotels and make travel plans, which will only increase these costs. If tickets go on sale the day after the Super Bowl, for example, there will only be 130 days left until the opening match.

The 48th edition of the Copa América kicks off on June 20 and will feature all 10 CONMEBOL countries and six CONCACAF nations. The tournament will be held in 14 cities across the U.S., with the final scheduled for July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Argentina, the 2022 World Cup winner, led by Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi, is the reigning champion.

This is not the first time the tournament has been held in the U.S. The 2016 Copa América Centenario was also held in the country. This tournament was a commercial success, with a total of 1.5 million people attending the matches, averaging 46,000 spectators per game. The competition was broadcast in over 160 countries, with the audience in the U.S. exceeding 100 million.
